Citation Excel/XLS
Cessna Citation Excel/XLS
The Citation Excel/XLS is a turbofan-powered aircraft designed for short to medium journeys, primarily for business and corporate use. Built by Cessna Aircraft Company in Kansas, USA, the Citation Excel employed a combination of technologies and existing aircraft models to produce the roomiest cabin in its class of light corporate jets. At high density, the cabin seats up to 10 passengers, with a comfortable seating at 6 or 7.
It requires a crew of only 2, and can travel up to 3,441 kilometers before needing refueling. With a cruise speed of up to 815 kilometers per hour, the Citation Excel is a fast, lightweight jet perfect for business charter. For a quieter, more efficient journey than a traditional twin turboprop jet, the Excel/XLS is a wonderful choice.
Though the Citation Excel lacks some of the luxurious features from Cessna's higher end Citation X series, the jets are spacious and comfortable, and above all, economical for corporate charter. The newer model of the Excel, the XLS, saw the addition of a glass cockpit and upgraded engines. The most recent release, the XLS+, again included improved engines and more advanced cockpit controls. However, all three models still only require 2 crew members to operate.
