Hawker 1000
The Hawker 1000 offers the highest quality in private luxury jet features. This is a popular business charter choice for companies who wish to send their executives to their destination in comfort and class. Biomorphic design graces the interior cabin, giving it the one of the highest-quality passenger comfort ratings. With a 24.4-foot cabin, up to eight passengers will enjoy over three times as much space as flying first class in a commercial airline jet. There is ample temperature-controlled storage, an aft lavatory and full refreshment area. Tables are also available; seats can be arranged in several different patterns.
Engine noise is reduced on this model, due to exhaust let out at a lower velocity. In the cabin, noise levels are at about 81 dbA. The jet is powered by two PW305 turbofan engines from Pratt & Whitney Canada, giving it 5,255 pounds of thrust. These engines have FADEC systems, providing efficient fuel use for top performance. The range is 3,530 air miles or 3,098 nautical miles. About 1,400 pounds of fuel are burned each hour when full range and speed are engaged. Total fuel capacity is 11,300 pounds. Each engine is automatically programmed to support the other, should one fail, increasing safety. Cruising speed is up to 453 knots at a 37,000-foot altitude. Long range speed is 400 knots at 41,000 feet.
This mid-sized private jet is easy for pilots to operate also. Passengers can rest assured that their pilots will not be confused at any time, thanks to the FADEC automated system that monitors and simplifies engine-related tasks. There is a SPX-8000 dual-channel fail-perational digital flight system from Honeywell. Included also are a Primus 870 Doppler turbulence system, five EDZ-818 flat panel screens with electronic flight instrumentation systems, the LSZ lighting sensor system and a Bendix/King kHF transceiver.
